Brickell CitiCentre is a 4.6 million-square-foot project to encompass 500,000-plus square feet of retail and entertainment space, a 290-room EAST hotel and 77 rental apartments, 455-unit condo towers and about 906,000 square feet of office space once completed. This project would generate 1,700 jobs during the four years of construction and an additional 3,800 jobs upon completion. The Brickell CitiCentre is a split in two phases: First phase includes an open-air shopping center, hotel and offices with parking and the second phase include residences and more offices. According to Bernardo Fort-Brescia, founding principal of Arquitectonica, the construction of Brickell CitiCentre will start in the first or second quarter of 2012. Brickell CitiCentre is located at South Miami Avenue and Seventh Street, west of Brickell Avenue.
