Billionaires - Taking Care of Business

Miami billionaire Jeffrey Soffer has been plagued by a $100 million lawsuit, but it has not kept Soffer and his wife, supermodel Elle Macpherson from taking care of business.

Just recently, the billionaire couple’s Indian Creek mansion was mortgaged for $18  million. The home is located in an elite section of Miami Dade and they were able to cash-out refinance at more than three times their purchase price some 13 years ago.

Economically speaking, it seems, they certainly took care of business, getting a personal investment of $13,000.000 out of their house.

Nevertheless, one has to wonder why billionaires like Soffer and FaceBook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who financed his home 19 months ago, need mortgage loans.  There is no information available to show if Soffer and Macpherson beat Zukerbergs’ 1.05 percent interest rate. Perhaps the Soffers are trying to keep up with the Zuckerbergs.
